How to Get a Wisconsin Concealed Carry Permit

Step 1: Attend a qualifying concealed carry class

The State of Wisconsin requires completion of a qualifying in-person firearms safety course. Our easy, relaxed 4-hour Concealed Carry and Personal Defense class exceeds all state requirements and is beginner-friendly.

At the end of class, you will receive a Certificate of Training, which is required to apply for your permit. We also provide a copy of the Wisconsin Concealed Carry Permit paper application.

Step 2: Apply for your permit with the Wisconsin DOJ

You may apply in one of two ways:

  • Apply online through the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) website, or

  • Mail in your completed paper application provided to you in class
